What is CardWho?
CardWho is an app made to break the silence that has crept between us — the quiet sickness of our age. Sitting side by side with the people you love, it gets you looking at each other instead of the screen, swapping rehearsed lines for conversations you actually listen to. The right question at the right moment brings an unexpected laugh, a forgotten memory or an honest moment between you. There is no winner here — what wins is the conversation itself.
Is CardWho free?
Signing up for CardWho is completely free. You download the app and play the core experience for free, always. Expansion packs and PRO categories are available as optional in-app purchases.
Do I need an internet connection?
No, CardWho can be played offline too. After the first download you can play on a plane, around a campfire, or at the table without any connection. Features like PRO purchases and account sign-in do require a connection.
Which devices are supported?
CardWho runs on iOS 16+ (iPhone and iPad) and Android 9+ (phone and tablet).

Gameplay

How do you play CardWho?
Open the app. Pick a category and a mode. Then let the conversation begin — and never end!
How many people can play?
2 to 12 players is ideal. But of course, there is no real limit. A single device is enough to play CardWho. And of course, everyone can also open the same game on their own phone!
How long does a game take?
It depends on the mode you pick. Some quick modes wrap up in 15 to 20 minutes, while deep conversation modes can stretch close to 45 minutes. Each mode card lists its estimated duration up front.
What is a game mode? How is it different from a category?
A category is the main theme of the questions (Friends, Couples, Family, and so on). A game mode is a sub-experience inside that category — questions are picked in a different tone, and the card count and duration shift. For example, the "Friends" category includes a "Funny" mode with playful questions and a "Honest" mode with more candid ones.

Content and languages

Which languages does CardWho support?
CardWho ships in six languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, and Russian. It is built to remove language barriers at mixed tables — each player picks their own device language.
How many questions and categories are there?
Right now there are 19 categories and over 100 game modes, with hundreds of questions across them. Content is updated regularly, and new categories and modes ship with app updates.
Can I add my own question pack?
User-generated content is not supported yet. It is on our roadmap, and we will announce updates on the changelog page as it progresses.

Account, privacy, and data

Do I have to create an account?
No. You can play CardWho fully in guest mode. If you sign up later on the same device, all your information and purchases automatically move to your account.
Is my data safe?
CardWho can be played without collecting any personal data. When you create an account, the data we collect and how it is used are explained in the privacy policy. Our servers are hosted inside the European Union.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account to send a permanent deletion request. Once processed, all data tied to your account is removed within 30 days. You can cancel the request during that window if you change your mind.

Purchases and refunds

Can I buy a pack in guest mode?
Yes! You can buy a pack in guest mode without an account. If you sign up later, your purchase automatically moves to your account.
Can I buy a subscription in guest mode?
Yes! You can buy a subscription in guest mode without an account. If you sign up later, your purchase automatically moves to your account.
Can I buy the lifetime pack in guest mode?
Yes! You can buy the lifetime pack in guest mode without an account. If you sign up later, your purchase automatically moves to your account.
I bought PRO content — can I get a refund?
For iOS purchases, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android purchases, contact Google Play. See our refund policy page for a step-by-step guide.
Can I move a purchase to another device?
Yes. You can restore purchases on iOS devices signed in with the same App Store account, or on Android devices signed in with the same Google account. For cross-platform restore, sign in with your CardWho account.
